the exotic country of Morocco.....sample flavours, history, mystic tradition,
unforgettable experiences....all with a comfortable group of only 6-8 people.
Private tour will commence in Casablanca and
will include visits to the colourful coastal city of Rabat, the fertile
lands of Meknes, the medieval city of Fes, the beauty of the Sahara desert, the
heights of the Atlas Mountains, the amazing city of Marrakesh (shopping!) and
finishing in Casablanca with a dinner at Rick’s Cafe. On a culinary note, the tour will include visits
to markets and selected producers, experiences in riad kitchens and a tailored
cooking class.

They will be advised on product knowledge, safety and hygiene, basic cooking skills, the importance of healthy food and the first steps of entertaining. Age groups: 8-12 years and 13-17.

| For best cooking results, you need sharp knives. Bring along
your knives and have them professionally sharpened at competitive rates
while you have a refreshment and browse through the Jazz Shop.
Great opportunity to shop for Mothers Day gifts.
All
Furi knives for the day will have a further 10% discounted from my
standard below retail prices.
If unable to attend during
open hours, arrange to drop off your knives the day before and
collect them at your convenience. Please wrap them in a towel
and include your name, phone number and description of contents.

Share with me the smells and visual delights of bread and pasta making, delis filled with olives, cheeses and other continental goodies, a chocolate shop, an Italian butchers shop, cakes to die for, an Italian wine tasting and lunch at a restaurant that will blow you over with delicious smells and flavours.
A bus for 15 people will depart from Kitchen Jazz on Wednesday, 25th June at 9.15am and return at approx 4.15pm. Fee includes transport, tastings, lunch, wine and some shopping discounts. |

| Hola! Ever since my trip to Catalonia last year, I have been eager to share my gourmet discoveries of this northern Spanish region. Recipes are inspired by my travels to exciting and cosmopolitan Barcelona and the historical picturesque surrounds of La Seu d’Urgell in the Pyrenees mountains. Rich and fresh flavours influenced by France and Italy such as tomatoes, aubergine, mountain herbs, cheese, sausage, meats and a traditional cream dessert. Mmmmmm.... Delicioso! |

| Join Mara on a tour of exotic produce outlets in Kingsgrove, Lakemba, Bankstown and Auburn. Your journey will take you to ‘Lebanon’, ‘Arabia’, ‘Vietnam’ and ‘Turkey’ – all in one day! Experience an Arabic nut roaster, a Turkish baker, a chocolate extraordinaire, Vietnamese markets, Lebanese goodies and hear the story of a Turkish family and their famous Turkish Delight business. Tour cost is $95 which includes bus transport, coffee at an exquisite chocolaterie, samples throughout the day, lunch with wine and another insight into Sydney life.
You will have opportunities to buy bulk items such as olive oil, nuts and pulses, as well as bringing home pide bread, olives, cheese, biscuits, vegetables, meat and chocolates to share at home.
Bus departs from Turramurra at 9.10am and returns at approx 4.30pm.

| Not to be missed! Dinner for 24 people here at Kitchen Jazz with a theme of the Hyderabad region of India. The evening will start with a short cooking demonstration by Ajoy Joshi from the acclaimed Nilgiri's restaurant . Ajoy's knowledge and passion of his homeland will transport us to Hyderabad, where cuisine is a blend of Mughlai and Persian cooking, linked to the nobles.
Ian and Liz Hemphill of Herbie’s Spices will also join us for dinner and will provide us with tasty morsels of spice information. The Hemphills have raised the bar for spices in Australia and are currently taking bookings for their Spice Tour scheduled for Jan. 2009 (see News Page for more information).
