CRETE: LARGEST AND MOST UNIQUE OF THE GREEK ISLANDS
'Crete Odyssey' has been designed to provide a balanced experience of Crete - a mix of sightseeing, history, fun, relaxation, local activities and most importantly to introduce the appetising, ambrosial, delicious food and wine of Crete.
Package includes transport to and from Chania airport; luxury accommodation based in Akrotiri with ensuite in an upmarket contemporary 5 bedroom villa with water views, infinity pool, office, gym & sauna; daily breakfast; welcome drinks; tastings; day tours throughout the island to villages, beach locations and mountains; entry fees; cooking class and daily main meals served either in restaurants or the villa by a local chef.
Itinerary: (Please note it is subject to minor changes)
Day 1: Arrival to Chania, Crete. Complimentary welcome drinks in villa followed by dinner in a restaurant
Day 2: After a late start, a day and evening in a neighbouring picturesque town for exploring and attending a cooking class for dinner. Learn about the customs and traditions of Cretan cuisine
Day 3: Day tour to the rocky scenic mountains including a visit to an olive oil mill, a winery and a memorable and unique lunch experience. Free evening
Day 4: Free day (list of activity options provided) followed by a Cretan barbeque
Day 5: Visit the historic Minoan village of Knossos and a variety of beautiful places en route. Dinner in a local taverna
Day 6: Visit an exquisite lagoon. Free afternoon followed by a chef dinner in our luxury villa overlooking the beautiful harbour and twinkling lights
Day 7: End of tour. Departure from Chania
You may wish to extend your holiday at your own expense: Fly to Athens and visit the mainland, ferry to another Greek island or simply extend your stay in Crete and stay in one of the many idyllic resorts in other parts of the island.
