'A Week in Provence' Tour

Package includes shuttle service to and from Marseille airport; comfortable accommodation (with private ensuite) in a renovated 19th Century farmhouse villa based at the gateway of the Luberon; daily Provencale breakfast; day tours to the Luberon, Aix en Provence, Remy de Provence region, Avignon and Chateauneuf du Pape and Gigondas; wine tastings, cooking class, and a daily main meal ranging from provencal barbeque to rustic bistro to a Michelin star restaurant.
Itinerary: (Please note it may be subject to minor changes)
Day 1: Shuttle from Marseille Airport. Complimentary welcome drinks followed by dinner in a renowned bistro in a neighbouring village.
Day 2: Day tour of Avignon followed by a Wine and Cheese Tasting and Provencale Supper at the villa prepared by a private chef.
Day 3: Day tour of the Luberon medieval villages set amidst colourful scenery of fields, hills, poppies and early lavender. Visit boulangeries, a monastery, Gordes and oh so much more. In the evening, relax back at the villa with a Provencal barbecue and a game of petanque.
Day 4: Day tour to Aix en Provence to see the famous markets which are colourful, aromatic and a great place to buy your Provencale homewares and gifts. You will have free time for the rest of the day to soak in Aix. Perhaps visit the Cezanne museum? Linger in a café? Stroll the tree lined promenades. Dinner in a Michelin restaurant with stunning views and food.
Day 5: Visit market day at St Remy de Provence and taste olive oil and amazing fresh produce. Visit the historical site of Baux de Provence followed by a stunning luminated art exhibition underground. Dinner in a unique restaurant in a neighbouring village.
Day 6: Cooking class in the Luberon, finishing with a Provençal lunch in a unique setting. Stroll through an olive grove before returning to the villa for a free afternoon and evening.
Day 7: Day tour to famous wine regions of Chateauneuf du Pape and Gigondas. Visit wineries and meet the winemakers for tastings and behind the scenes experience of world class wines from the Southern Rhone region. Farewell dinner will be prepared by a private chef in our villa.
Day 8: End of tour. Return shuttle to Marseille Airport. Options: Extend your holiday in Marseille to taste the famous bouillabaisse or travel further to Nice, Barcelona or high speed train to Lyon and Paris.
